Memoir Writing

The sixth grade has started the process of writing memoir. We have immersed ourselves in the Memoir genre. We have started to generate many pieces of writing in our memoir notebooks. Tonight's writing assignment involves interviewing a family member. Sometimes, it is difficult to conjure up memories from when we were very young. It can be difficult to think about stories to write about ourselves. So, parents, siblings, grandparents- we want your input. Here are the questions that we would love for you to spend some time answering!

1. What is one of your favorite memories about me as a young child?

2. When did you first begin to realize that I was no longer a young child? (That I was growing up!)

3. What do you think my greatest strength is?

4. Think of one story from the past that illustrates who I am. (this could be a story from last week, month, year or from many years ago)

You can respond on this website, or in writing. Thank you so much for your help!
